Thorpe Park...Shark Hotel...3 Night Stay!

On the 6th July myself and Tom left the ever so dreary Hastings to go to check into our hotel at the Thorpe Park Shark Hotel. We left at midday to check in at 3pm as suggested, little did we know that we were actually able to have been there before we checked in at this time as they have a room next to the main check in desk where they keep your luggage if your room is not ready. Next time we stay here we will be getting to the park when it opens!

First things first, the check in staff at the hotel are so lovely, smiley and helpful and as someone who is a stickler for manners and good customer service they get a 10/10 from me. I enjoyed their company a lot, it is a shame that I do not remember their names! So we got our key which is a  'key card' which they give to you in a card holder, this is so handy to be able to keep in your pocket when you are in the park in the day. Our room was 114 which over looked the lake, The view was beautiful!

The Sun rising on Tuesday morning

Our room was actually a lot bigger than I expected, however if you had more than 2 adults (And I am quite small) in there then you would literally want to rip your hair out.
Early morning watching the telly, it is free view but if you were expecting films you will be disappointed. This was perfect for us though because you only need the room to sleep and shower.
Sorry for the mess! But there are sections under all of the beds for your suitcases, you get hangers (we used this to dry our tidal waved clothes) and a selection of drawers. If you need an ironing board and iron or  a hair dryer they have these at the reception desk.
The shower was a waterfall shower, I think the only thing we didn't like was the fact  that it is a wet room so the floor stays constantly wet (until the lovely cleaners come in) and that can get annoying if you need a quick wee before you go to the park for the day and your ready and you now have wet feet, but it was a lovely shower and the wet room wasn't the best but it was kept immaculately clean.

Art work was fun at the side of the bed and the mood lights excited my 17 year old self too much!

This was the entrance to our Chalet.

Okay so the next section is about the food. I didn't take a picture of the breakfast buffet but I didn't want to accidentally take a picture of someone and I don't think anyone wants me taking a picture of them bright and early in the morning! Take my world for it though, the food was hot, fresh and delicious with a massive variation of drinks, perfect before your long day.
So onto dinner, BOOK YOUR TABLE, we did get told this but on the second day we thought we would see why... we were very tired and hungry and had to wait half an hour, it was our own fault, but please book your table! I didn't take a picture of our dinner on the last night as I was so tired that I forgot my camera, apologies!

These were the best onion rings that I have ever eaten! Please get them as a side!
My Saw hog dog, A giant spiralled Cumberland sausage in a bun with cheese and BBQ sauce....yum
Tom's BBQ sticky ribs, these were tender and absolutely delicious!
Tom's Chips and Dips starter on the second evening (We got hungry)
My Torpedo prawns and honey glazed mustard were a little but pricey at £5.50 but so worth it!
Tom had the Saw hog dog on the second day (He got jealous)
I can't remember what this was called but it was basically a double cheeseburger, regardless it was yummy!
The choice of sauced looked adorable and were a very good choice, however, no BBQ sauce, upsetting.

Okay so that is it for the review but I have added some of my favourite photos of the 4 days, I don't have to do a review on Thorpe Park itself because anyone knows that  if you love big coasters and some smaller things you will love it there, I think in the time that we were there we managed to ride 52 times! Use Reserve 'N' Ride and go to Angry Birds 4D it was so worth it! I hope you enjoyed reading this, please comment and let me know what you think.
